FAQ's
Three Stones Abbey, supported by the Order of the Hearth, is the only Abbey of the  Order.  It  is completely self-governing. Sisters do not report to any superior, but govern equally and by vote.   Acceptance of any new Sister is by unanimous vote.

Sisters must have each presented proof of clear understanding of the studies of the Order .to be recognized by the Order.

The Sisterhood is pantheiste, non-sectarian, and inclusive. The Order has but one rule and one vow,   " I will strive always for mindfulness and clarity of soul."

It is the intention of the Order to be available to the Heten Community and to serve it collectively through networking, as well as to serve individually according to conscience. The Sisterhood is interested to connect and commune with other women who are upon similar paths, and to share resources.  If you are interested in networking with us, please let us know when you sign the guestbook.

This Order is currently interested in an academic alliance with particular brotherhoods.

We present to you an Order of the Hearth, and those who are knighted on the merits.  Let their services stand as examples of devotion, vision, and unity.  The Abbess neither directs nor dictates the manner in which any knight serves, but rather, honors those who have demonstrated unparalleled ability to carry forth the Sword of Truth, to bear the Sacred Light of Knowledge aloft, and to lay aside personal advancement in exchange for the opportunity to serve a greater cause. These are great knights. Let history record them. Let our progeny remember them. Let us speak of them often; let us praise them.

The Abbey recognizes 8 celebrations throughout the year.  These are the holy days of various sects of Heten groups, each of which may assign varying degrees of importance to them.  The Order considers the Feast of Brighid central to its celebrational year.

HOMES 'N' GARDENS is published by the Sisters of the Abbey to share their private homes and gardens in the hope that our readership will be inspired to consider a lifestyle that incorporates the sacred garden into an equally-sacred home. Our interests in self-sufficiency are extended to the cities as dwelling places as well as to country homesteads. From garden to altar, apothecary, or table, and from past to present, we present our craft.

The Carmina Gadelica is the foremost book of the Brighitines, and is their best historical insight into the rituals, beliefs, spels, and incantations of their forebears. Here is our commentary upon this rich and fascinating unique book.
